I found it at the DeKalb YMCA right after I did my stint as timer for the North Central Illinois Swim Conference Meet.
It was just sitting there in the hall looking out of place.
Individually, the chairs are hardly worth looking at.
Stacked, they provide an interesting visual effect.

I found this gem at the Northern Illinois Swim Conference meet at the DeKalb YMCA Saturday morning.
I passed it up the first time, but it was so good I finally worked up courage to ask permission to take a picture.
Its owner asked if I was taking his face, too.
I told him I wasn’t.

The storm that started at 2:30 in Crystal Lake on Friday night was still coming down as we arrived at the DeKalb YMCA Saturday morning at 7:30 for the North Central Illinois Swim Conference.
When we finally found where swimmers and parents were supposed to congregate, this is what it looked like.
Originally designed for tennis courts, it has been converted into basketball courts or, alternatively, a floor hockey rink, surrounded by a track.
Saturday, it looked like where refugees from a natural disaster would retreat.
Since it was inside, I guess we should be thankful for that favor.
Next time this location hosts an swim meet, perhaps they will lay out parts of the building for each team.
