Jack Franks Notices Tonya Franklin

Jack Franks' signs parade in frong of Vaughan's Family Restaruant where prospective GOP opponennt Tonya Franklin is renting a room to meet Precinct Committeemen, volunteers and others interested in her candidacy.

Tonya Franklin, the woman who wants to run against Democrat Jack Franks for State Rep., is meeting with Precinct Committeemen and others who would like to get to know her at Vaughan’s Family Restaurant on Route 47 in Woodstock.

And what pops up but Jack Franks’ yard signs out in front.

A bit out of season, but I’ll bet Franklin is relishing being noticed by the supposedly invincible millionaire who is busy giving pearls of wisdom to the reporters he has so assiduously courted since 1999.

The signs remind me of the Chickenman radio series of the early 1960′s.

The crowd sees Chickenman and goes wild. "He's everywhere. He's everywhere."

From Vaughan’s we intend to reach out to you, the 148 Republican Committeemen in person and from the phone.

We have the phone numbers; come with your cell and help to call Committeemen on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

From Vaughan’s we will coordinate the 1500 petition signatures and walk sheets.

We have walk sheets set up for the entire 63rd House District. These are ready to go with petitions!

Pick up walk sheets and petitions early, or on Saturday and Sunday. (We will have petitions at the McHenry County Republican Committee meeting too.)

Done collecting? Join us for refreshments as the notary certifies them.  On both Saturday and Sunday we will have a notary present.
