Last Minute Notes on the Algonquin Village Election.

A friend of McHenry County Blog from Algonquin has these last minute thoughts about the implications of village trustee Steve Serafin’s winning the election:

“Steve Serafin did 2 or 3 separate, targeted mailings into different portions of Algonquin, most notably Copper Oaks (he did not include Jim Steigert materials in those mailings), Kane County and the far west neighborhoods of Algonquin.

“Also, 1,000 Algonquin households received robocalls last evening.

“If Serafin pulls off election to the village board, despite the stronger field of candidates as his opponent, it will go to show everyone that direct mail and phone calls work to win election.”
