Almost $26 Cost per Vote for Losers in Wonder Lake

Having discovered that $12,000 was given by those who presumably have something to gain something from the approval of Thatcher Woods, I decided to do some dividing.

The two Wonder Lake Village trustee candidates who unsuccessfully challenged the three incumbents were William Arnos and Ed Stygar.

They ran with the support of Citizens for a Better Wonder Lake.

The candidates got 225 and 239, respectively.

Add the two figures together and you get 464 votes.

Let’s assume the whole $12,000 was spent. (We won’t know the total until either a semi-annual or final report is filed with the State Board of Elections.)

464 into $12,000 would mean each vote cost $25.86 per vote.

That’s pretty high, wouldn’t you say?
