Manzullo, South Korean Ambassador to Visit Korean War Vets in LITH Friday

[LAKE IN THE HILLS] Congressman Don Manzullo (R-Egan) will bring Lee Tae-sik, South Korean Ambassador to the United States, to Lake in the Hills on Friday, May 4 to meet with and personally thank McHenry County’s Korean War veterans for their efforts to protect his country.

The meeting and reception will run from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at Lake in the Hills American Legion Post 1231, 1101 W. Algonquin Road, Lake in the Hills. All McHenry County veterans of the Korean War are invited to this meeting.

Manzullo, who serves as top Republican on the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, and the Global Environment, met with Ambassador Lee recently and invited him to come to northern Illinois. Ambassador Lee gladly accepted the invitation.

During the meeting in Lake in the Hills, the Ambassador will update McHenry County’s Korean War veterans on the progress in his country since the war. He will also personally thank each of the veterans for the sacrifices they made to protect his country and the people of South Korea.
