With all the rain last night, you would think that Cress Creek, the overflow from Crystal Lake, would be flowing.

You would be correct, as you can see from this picture I took right after dropping my son off for his last morning of 3rd grade.

It looks about as full as it was the first time March 11th I noticed last year’s dry creek bed was alive with water again.

Of course, there was snow that day.

And, since then, the stream had dwindled to a trickle.

But no trickle now.

It’s alive.

Want to know how alive?

And with what?

You’ll have to wait until after I pick up my son.

But, it will be worth the wait.
