Can you believe that Melissa Bean and the Democrats in Washington are proposing the largest tax increase in American history? Democrat Congressman Charlie Rangel, who just a few weeks ago gave a sizable donation to Melissa Bean, is making the proposal as chairman of the powerful Ways and Means Committee. This would deal a devastating blow to jobs, growth and prosperity in the Eighth District and I can’t wait to make sure it is defeated. This tax would be on top of the enormous taxes that Melissa Bean allies Governor Rod Blagojevich and Cook County Democrats in Springfield are proposing!

In the coming weeks we will be making sure that all voters in the 8th District know exactly where Melissa Bean and her tax-and-spend friends stand on this latest attempt to take more of our hard earned money.

The campaign has been hard at work collecting the necessary petitions to get Steve’s name on the ballot. Thanks to your hard work, we have gathered the necessary signatures to legally launch our candidacy. We will be filing the petitions Monday morning in Springfield. Away we go!
