Conservative Drops Out of GOP Primary to Replace State Senator Bill Peterson

There were two candidates in the contest to replace retiring Republican State Senator Bill Peterson.

Now there is one.

Rod Dobinski of Wauconda, whom I met on the Family PAC cruise this summer had dropped out of the race.

He withdrew about one o’clock yesterday afternoon.

That leaves Dan Duffy of Lake Barrington.

There are two Democrats competing to oppose Duffy.

They are Bill Gentes, two-term mayor of Round Lake, and Richard Hammes of North Barrington.
