Message of the Day – A Sticker

As I was finishing donating blood yesterday, this sticker got stuck to my shirt.

I was one pint less, but I was told to eat things that I shouldn’t, so, all in all, it was a good day.

And I got a discounted pie from Baker’s Square.

I’m sure payment for blood was made illegal in the 1970’s, but I guess premiums like a pie or a box of ice cream from Oberweis Dairy are OK.

The pie would have been free, if I had settled for apple or berry, but I had instructions to order a pumpkin pie.

So, there was a $2 “upgrade” cost.

Let me tell you, the folks who work at Baker’s Square were in high spirits when I went in to order the pie. They were an absolute delight to deal with.

This is one of those times of year when blood donations typically are low, so, why not give the Crystal Lake office of Heartland a call. It’s just to the left of Hobby Lobby. The phone number is 815-356-0608.

On the sticker you can see “Charlie Corpuscle” saying,

‘BE NICE TO ME. I GAVE…”
