The longest serving president of McHenry County College died Saturday at home in Crystal Lake.
He became dean of instruction at McHenry County College in 1973, advancing to the institution’s presidency in 1980 after serving briefly as acting president.

He retired in 1997.

Because a service will be held at 7 PM., in Querhammer and Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, the regular McHenry County College meeting was rescheduled to next Monday night at 7 PM.
