Treading Where No Political Party Dares Step

There’s a new political organization in McHenry County dedicated to immigration reform.

It’s called McHenry County Citizens for Immigration Enforcement.

The person keeping me in touch is Tom Roti.

He sent me, among others, the following email yesterday:

Hi Good People:

Just a quick note to let you know that at 6 A.M. this morning I was at the Woodstock Train station passing out information pamphlets on the Equalization Issue on Social Security. I printed up 50 of them before I went out. The nice thing about it was that it was the first real handout we had with our Name and Mailing Address on it.

Most of the people were very receptive.

But it does appear to me that from comments made by the people interviewed that the issue of immigration goes way beyond illegal immigration. I heard several stories about how workers have lost their jobs to illegal immigrants who are willing to work for significantly less money.

The issue is JOBS, JOBS AND JOBS. Some people looked almost completely down trodden-I wish some of you could have been there to see their reactions. It is truly sad.

There can be no doubt that what we have undertaken as a group is very worth while.

I encourage each of you to make a positive step.

If you want me with you to hand out these papers, I will be there with you. Just give me a call at 815 459 3884 and we can arrange for a place and date.

You are performing a valuable informational service to your fellow citizens. What can be wrong with that?

Sincerely,

Thomas J. Roti

Imagine that.

Someone other than a candidate passing things out at train stations.

This is the group’s email address:
