Operating Engineers 150 Tip

I’ve been getting some interesting anonymous tips through the mail lately.

One was about the politically active Operating Engineers Local 150 union.

It advised me that the Feds were about to do something soon.

Then, on Saturday, I saw this Sun-Times article by Chris Fusco about a raid on its president William Dugan’s Maryland buffalo farm.

I never met Dugan, but he did lobby me by phone against gun control in 1999 or 2000.

But, of course, there is the union’s banquet hall on Route 120 that former McHenry County Republican County Central Committee Chairman Al Jourdan worked with Chuck August to locate in McHenry County…missing by just a little bit.

August also discussed a bill with me during the late 1990’s at the annual Lincoln Day Dinner. It was the riparian rights bill I introduced after the Crystal Lake Park District won its case for title to the bottom of Crystal Lake. I believe he lives on Bangs Lake in Wauconda.

Having gotten the typed note and having been born in Maryland, the article caught my attention.
