With the election almost upon us, Around the Clock Restaurant has done something I have not seen before.

It has come out with a rebuttal message to its Big Boy competitor.

You will remember that the Big Boy restaurant, aparently owned by nefarious individuals from Dick Tracy’s past, dissed Heck of a Blog’s http://1heckofaguy.com/page/2/ Allan Showalter’s idea of gaining worldwide recognition for the imaginative leadership of the McHenry County Board by putting the picture of Dick Tracy in the middle of the McHenry County seal.

Now Crystal Lake’s Around the Clock Restaurant has come to Dick Tracy’s defense.

I’ve seen political signs in front of Around the Clock, Don Manzullo’s comes to mind, but never on the marque.

But look what’s there today:
