How a committee can be filed with no officers, I don’t know, but that’s what the State Board of Elections web site says about the Vote Yes on the Con-Con Coalition.
Maybe it’s because the organization papers were filed on paper, while the D-2 form reporting campaign contributions was filed electronically. In any event, it is an attempt to keep secret, if just for a little while, who is behind this political action committee.
It is also listed on the web site as having no interest in any proposition.
Here’s who gave the $100,000:
- $50,000 – Citizens for Fair Assessment & Taxes, 446 N Wells, #265, Chicago, IL 60610
- $5,000 – Andre Howard, Property Manager, PO Box 20055, Chicago, IL 60620 $
- $25,000 – Andrea Raila, Owner, Raila & Associates 742 N LaSalle, Suite 300, Chicago, IL 60654
- $20,000 – Mike Rohrbeck, Director of Operations, Raila & Associates 676 N LaSalle, Suite 401, Chicago, IL 60654
All the money was donated on October 4th.
The Citizens for Fair Assessment & Taxes is not registered with the State Board of Elections as a political action committee, according to a web site search.
In years past Raila has contributed to now-Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn, who favors a constitutional convention.
State Rep. Jack Franks has another PAC supporting Con-Con, but it has virtually no money.
