Township Assessors Elect Association Officers

McHenry County’s township assessors met at the McHenry County Administrative Building yesterday after their annual meeting with Supervisor of Assessments Donna Mayberry.

Elected president was Marengo Township Assessor Jon Klick.

  1. During my property tax appeal, Mary Mahady felt the need to start advising me about what kind of improvements my house needs. I’ve been unemployed since the August, and she was lecturing me to spend more money on projects for my house. The assessment board of review is out of touch with the changes in this community. Judging from the comments from last year’s block party, nobody in my neighborhood is spending their money on improvements or additions. The message?…there is no need to dump more money into your property, Jagla and company will make sure your property is assessed beyond market value. MONEY SAVING TIP: If you are not retiring here, let the property rot. Jagla, Mahady, and Brunschon are a disgrace for Nunda assessments.
