Huntley School Board members Kim Skaja and Larry Snow were at the door when it was opened this morning to file their petitions for re-election.
Skaja filed for the four-year term, while Snow filed for both the two-year vacancy and the four-year term, with a final decision on which to run for to made in the future.
Skaja and Snow don’t get along.
That’s for sure.
You can see sparks fly may at many board meetings. Skaja is the longest serving member going back for over a decade on the school board. Snow is completing his first term.
When asked about the signature gathering process Snow said,
“After getting a lot of phone calls asking me to run, I went out this weekend, starting on Saturday, and collected more than the necessary number of signatures.
“Residents were great, inviting me inside to stay warm and chat for a bit. It is always refreshing and informative to hear residents perspectives on our school district.”
