Crystal Lake Rolls Out New Web Site

Crystal Lake’s Director of Information Technology Greg Fettes put the revised web site in the spotlight at last night’s city council meeting.

I could probably summarize his presentation with

“more user friendly,
more information.”

The page will have four replaceable photographs on its front page.

There are flowers on one, vegetables on another and a picture of people in a swing at Crystal Lake’s Main Beach on a third.

The fourth is the one you see above.

“Where is that?” I thought and asked.

Mayor Aaron Shepley kindly informed me that it was a photo of the islands in Vulcan Lakes. From the yellow flowers, I can tell it was taken in the fall.

There is a whole section on Vulcan Lakes plans.

It’s right at the top under “Residents.”

It has area attractions under the tab “Visitors:”

  • Five Mayor Festivals
  • Jaycee Jambalaya Blues Festival at Teckler Blvd.
