Special Kids Free at Algonquin Founders’ Day Carnival This Afternoon

Lake in the Hill’s American Legion Post and the Algonquin Founders; Day Board are popping for free carnival rides for special this afternoon from 4-6.

They have set aside the first two hours for special needs children and their families to attend the carnival free of charge.

Special needs children must be accompanied by a family member, 16 years of age or older. Everyone entering the carnival must sign in and have a wrist band on to ride.

The carnival will not be open to the public, during this time period.

Refreshments also will be provided for the kids on their way home.

Members of the Lake in the Hills American Legion Post 1231 will be on hand to check everyone in and to be of any assistance.

Emergency medical backup will be on site during this time period.

For details, call Gary Jensen 847-875-7104.

American Legion Post 1231 is a nonprofit organization supporting, active military personnel, veterans and their families through community service and sponsored events.

If you children don’t fit that category, the County Fair’s Skinner Carnival (no relationship, unfortunately) allows as many rides as a kid’s stomach can take Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons from 1-5 the first week of August.
