The MCGOP is still looking for volunteers to work the Republican booth at the McHenry County Fair. All volunteers will be treated to a free ticket to the fair and will receive a reminder phone call prior. The slots that need to be filled are as followed:
- Saturday, August 8: 4:00 – 7:00PM
- Saturday, August 8: 7:00 – 9:00PM
- Sunday August 9: 5:00 – 8:00PM
If you are available for any of these times please let us know.
This week MCYR will be co-hosting the Northeast Young Republican Picnic. We will be joined by Young Republican groups from all over the area to eat, drink and have a good time. The picnic is located at Barrington Park District on Saturday August 8 at 2:00PM. Please RSVP for this event.
Next week, MCYR will be hosting our first ever Petition Party. We will be providing free food and drinks to all candidates and Young Republicans. While we are grilling and having a good time, we will also be signing Republican petitions for the 2010 election. The petition party will be located at Veteran Acres Park in Crystal Lake Picnic Area “E” on Saturday August 15 at noon. Again, please RSVP for this event.
Candidate for United State Senate and local Republican Edward Varga will be speaking at our next General Meeting. Our next meeting is on August 19 but the location is still to be decided. Please keep up to date with the emails for our next meeting location.
