Harvard Radio Interviews McHenry County Sheriff’s Candidate Zane Seipler

Zane Seipler being interviewed Friday by David Gardner on Harvard Community Radio.

I go back to the days of WMCW, a little AM station located north of where the Motorola plant was built in Harvard. (It was still on the air when I ran for governor against Jim Ryan and Rod Blagojevich in 2002. I know because it was part of our radio buy.) The days of Lowell Nye and the Harvard Herald. When I was running for state representative in 1972, I had a half-hour or so interview (things were pretty flexible back then) with the woman who ran it. (Maybe someone can remind me of her name. Wikipedia doesn’t have it.  Two people have.  Her name is Esther Blodgett. She died in late September, 1987, after retiring in 1979, the Chicago Sun-Times wrote.) Now through the air radio has been replaced by over the internet radio.

It’s called Harvard Community Radio. Friday, Zane Seipler, who is challenging Keith Nygren for McHenry County Sheriff was on the air, so to speak. Monday will be Keith Nygren’s turn, I see from the announcement on the station’s web page.
