Matthew Ciesielski Hired as New Assistant State’s Attorney

The following announcement of a new employee at the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office has been received:

STATE’S ATTORNEY HIRES RECENT GRADUATE FROM
YALE UNIVERSITY AND INDIANA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW

Louis A. Bianchi., McHenry County State’s Attorney, is pleased to announce that Matthew Ciesielski will join our office working as a Misdemeanor Assistant in our Criminal Division.

Matthew received his Juris Doctorate in 2009 from Indiana University School of Law and his B.A. at Yale University.

Matthew has worked as a Certified Legal Intern for the Office of the Lawrence County Prosecutor assisting with case preparation, legal research and represented the People of the State of Indiana in court on plea hearings and other preliminary matters.

He also worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson for the United States District Court. as well as Ice Miller LLP, Bunger & Robinson, and the United States Army – Judge Advocate General’s Corp. His duties included research of legal issues, drafted orders, reviewed Social Security benefits appeals, supported attorneys in litigation practices of drafting discovery requests, trial motions, and appellate briefs
