Is His Teachers Union Vote Jack Franks’ Political Tar Ball or Gulf Oil Disaster?

I wrote two articles about lawyer-democrat-insider-politician Jack Franks’ automatic vote the way the teachers unions wanted him to:

This might be political business-as-usual for a Democrat.

Jack Franks

But as I pointed out, it brought Franks’ liberalness out into the open on a specific vote that was against helping needy and disadvantaged kids and against saving $240 million a year.

So much for being fiscally conservative.

So much for being compassionate.

It might be union politics, but there’s nothing warm and fuzzy about depriving as many as 30,000 kids from a decent education, while being a big spender and saying screw-you to a realistic chance to save $240 million or more.

One can say it’s callous to the kids, while to taxpayers it’s in-your-face, who-cares-about-$240-million-every-year, the unions-want-my-vote politics.

Both are irresponsible, but responsible has nothing to do with voting how the union special interests want Franks to.

They helped him get and stay in office for more than ten years.

Was Franks’ vote the equivalent of a giant tar ball or a massive “Who cares how much oil comes out, someone else will clean up the mess later?” political calculation?

It reminds me of how the Barack Obama administration stopped barges from sucking up oil in Louisiana and, then, pumping the oil into steel containers because the barges didn’t have the proper life preservers or fire extinguishers.

Or maybe the watermen just weren’t members of a favored Democratic Party union.

For Franks as a State Rep. not to care about $240 million or more, every year, and represent McHenry County voters is an amazing interpretation of what “represents” means.

But then Franks is a lawyer and was a political science major at the University of Wisconsin, Madison campus.

Along with Berkley California, Madison is known for its ultra-liberal politics.  What better place for Democrat Franks to study and learn his liberal politics?

While so many people in McHenry County are out work, Franks’ is betting John O’Neill, a conservative Republican, won’t be able to get the word out about Franks’ vote to flush saving $240 million a year down the drain.

Franks might privately tell people and laugh:

What did they expect when they voted for a liberal
University-of-Wisconsin-Madison political science major Democrat?
