Kirk Organization Meeting Held on Saturday

Missed getting this up before the meeting…unfortunately but thought people might be interested in in anyway. Below is an email from State Senator Pam Althoff, who is chairing the Mark Kirk for U.S. Senate effort in McHenry County, and from County Coordinator Cheryl Meyer

Hello from Pamela. I hope this letter finds you well. The purpose of this letter is three-fold: I want to express the importance of this November 2nd Election, invite you to become a part of an exciting project in McHenry County, and introduce you to the individual who will join me in leading this effort.

In November, McHenry County Republicans have an opportunity to play a key role in bringing more balance to the Unites States Senate. As you know, the infamous “Senate Seat” that was formerly held by Barack Obama will be filled on November 2nd by either Democrat Alexi Giannoulias or by Republican Mark Kirk. Since 2005 both Illinois U.S. Senate seats have been held by Democrats.

Isn’t it time to bring an Illinois Republican voice to Washington?

U.S. Congressman Mark Kirk walked Crystal Lake's Independance Day Parade.

I have known Mark Kirk for many years and believe his record of service as a United States Congressman and service to his country as an active member of the military makes him the best choice for this seat. I believe so strongly in Mark Kirk’s qualifications, accomplishments and goals that I have agreed to serve as the McHenry County Chairperson for the Mark Kirk for U.S. Senate Committee. I would like to invite you to join me on this committee so that together we can bring one more Republican voice to our nation’s Capitol.

I would also like to introduce you to the Kirk Campaign’s McHenry County Coordinator, Cheryl Meyer. I have known Cheryl for close to ten years and we have worked together on many projects. She is an active volunteer for the McHenry County GOP and has led the re-election efforts of State Representative Mike Tryon and other hard working McHenry County Republicans. She is a very organized and detail-oriented leader and together, with your help, I believe we can deliver a very solid McHenry County Mark Kirk victory on November 2nd.

Greetings from Cheryl Meyer. Pamela and I are in the process of forming a steering committee for our McHenry County Mark Kirk election effort, and I would like to invite you to be a part of this core team. You have been chosen for this role because of your commitment to the Republican Party and your desire to see our party’s values represented in decision-making offices.

Our committee’s first meeting will be held on Saturday morning, July 31, at 8:00am at the County’s GOP Headquarters on Route 14 in Crystal Lake. If you are not familiar with the location, the office is located at 8 Crystal Lake Plaza in the suite behind Fannie May Candies. Our office is at the back of the “V” in the plaza. Look for the campaign signs in the window.

In exchange for dragging you out early on a Saturday, Pam and I will provide coffee, juice, bagels and other treats for your enjoyment.

Please respond to this e-mail and let me know if you can attend our Kirk kick-off meeting on the 31st, and I look forward to seeing and working with you.

Very Best Regards,

Senator Pamela Althoff                                    Cheryl Meyer
