Melissa Bean (D-Barrington) challenger Joe Walsh has called for the 8th District incumbent to divest herself of campaign contributions from ethics-impaired New York City Congressman Charles Rangel.
You can see in
Joe Walsh Sticks Melissa Bean with Corruption Stick
a call by Walsh for Bean to donate the $28,000 she had received from Rangel to charity.
He noted that congressional colleagues Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper (D-PA) and Indiana Rep. Brad Ellsworth (D-IN) had done so in March.
Now, I see that the opponent of Illinois Congressman Phil Hare (D-Rock Island) is following Walsh’s example.
Bobby Schilling is Hare’s GOP opponent. An internal poll showed him 14 points ahead of the incumbent.
