Yard signs don’t vote, but the people inside homes with them on the front yard might.
Last night I received a four question robo-call from GOP gubernatorial candidate Bill Brady.
The Republican candidate for Governor said he was seeking sign sites.
First, he asked if I would be willing to put up a yard sign.
Figuring that with Brady’s lead and the closeness of the race for U.S. Senate, I demurred.
Next Brady asked if I would put up a four by four foot sign for him.
The same through process led me to silence.
The third question was whether I would help him make phone calls.
Not something I like to do.
Finally, he asked if I would be willing to knock on doors in my neighborhood.
Bingo!
I was going to do that anyway. After all, I am the Republican Precinct Committeeman in Algonquin Township’s 7th precinct.
So I indicated I would.
“Together we’re going to turn Illinois around,” Brady intoned at the end of the recorded phone call.
“Thank you for your support.”
Let’s do it Billy!
