Two chances to hear candidates have been scheduled by the McHenry County League of Women Voters.

The first will be this Sunday afternoon at 2 at McHenry County College. It will feature county board candidates.

The format is the same as I remember last time around.

Candidates will sit at tables in the MCC cafeteria where those living in the district can join them and converse.

Sheriff candidates Gus Philpott, Mike Mahon and Keith Nygren appeared at a candidates' forum at MCC sponsored by the Illinois Policy Institute and the McHenry County TEA Party.

The second will be Monday October 25 at 7 PM.  That when the three candidates for sheriff will face off again in the MCC Conference Center.

The three candidates will be on the stage in a format similar to the one on Monday night.
