There are four park districts in McHenry County and on this first day of filing for office only two havs enough candidates to fill the vacancies created by expiring terms.

Crystal Lake Park District, where the terms of Eric Anderson, Rich Sexton and Mike Zellman are up, there are only two candidates who have filed so far for the three vacancies.  One will obviously be first on the ballot:

• Paul Meyers
• Richard Passavant

Only the term of Phil Stanko on Cary Park District is up for election. He and Tom Emma have filed. Another candidate is expected to file, according to a park district employee

In the Marengo Park District, no one has filed.

Terms up are now held by William Weiss and Michael Driver.

The Recreation Building of the Huntley Park District.

For the Huntley Park District, two men have filed.

Both are incumbents whose terms are up.
