Democrats 67% Income Tax Bill Passes

Illinois Senate President argues for passage of his income tax increase bill.

30-29-0.

That was the vote in the Illinois State Senate at about 1:20 AM.

Senate Bill 2505 passes with the minimum number of votes required.

The bill was sponsored by Senate President John Cullerton.

With a bare minimum of 30 votes, Illinois Democrats raised the income tax on individuals by 67%.
