Names of those in the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department who are allowed to drive their vehicles home are listed below. I have asked for the titles.
Yesterday, the list of other county employees with the same privilege were identified.

Lucky people
Slow day or slow brain today, Cal.
Who cares?
Each one of those men and women (Deputy Sheriffs) drive home and back to work in their squad cars, or their version of a squad cars, each equiped with their police radios, and emergency lights as required for their positions, just like the rest of the deputies are allowed to do. A wonderful perk, no doubt, but also a cost saver to the county in the long run. Prior to deputies taking their squads home, usually three different officers used the same squad for the three shifts, wearing them out faster. Now, the cars last longer, if they are not cared for properly, the correct officer can be corrected, and the impact of a squad car in a subdivision parked over night has had a impact in reducing crime in that area. The County Board approved and allowed this “perk” a long time ago (early in the 90’s).
Hey Cal… If they’re saying this is a complete list, it’s lacking alot. These are Command Staff, to which some are missing (Chief of Security, Chief of Corrections, Commander of Marine Div, Investigations Command Staff, along with every other sworn deputy that takes a squad home)
Matteson shouldn’t be on that list. The car doesn’t count if the heater don’t work.
