Walsh Claims Campaign Promise Fulfillment

I’m not sure but I think this is the first press release from Congressman Joe Walsh’s Washington office.

Walsh Fulfills Key Campaign Pledge
Votes in favor to repeal the job Killing Obama Health Care Plan

Washington, DC – Earlier today, in a resounding defeat to President Obama, a federal judge in Florida declared his health care law unconstitutional.

Today marked a significant victory for states’ rights, the U.S. Constitution and the hundreds of thousands of Americans who so adamantly opposed this bill as the Democrats rammed it through Congress last year.

Rep. Joe Walsh issued the following statement in response.

Joe Walsh

“Today’s ruling reaffirms what most Americans already knew – ObamaCare was an unconstitutional power grab by the Federal government and an infringement on the freedom of individuals to make their own health care decisions.

“I continue to believe that it is a poor bill based on partisan politics rather than an earnest effort to reform our health care system.

“Once fully implemented, ObamaCare will cost an unsustainable $2.6 trillion dollars. Its burdensome taxes, regulations, and mandates unfairly target small businesses and other job creators.

“I have and will continue to fight for other important and effective solutions, as we move forward in repealing and replacing ObamaCare.”

Being challenged by 27 states, ObamaCare has now been ruled unconstitutional by 2 federal judges.

  1. Oh wow he voted for something that doesn’t have a chance to pass. Man oh man did he go out on a limb on that one. Almost half (42%) of Americans what the new health care plan.

Can’t Joe move on to more important things like creating jobs?

  2. It seems like the concept of jobs, jobs, jobs (you know, the thing that the right has blasted the President for not concentrating on) has completely been forgotten by those who criticized the President.

It would be nice if the right would listen to the majority of people. The majority are not in favor of repeal but instead want changes to the bill, not a complete repeal. Oh how quickly they forget.

  3. Liberals are sympathetic to the will of the people in Egypt but say cram it to the majority on Obamacare.

Businesses are afraid to overhire with Obamacare’s 2 trillion dollar cost looming ahead. This is directly affecting jobs.

  4. He scares the crap out of me. I see the entire Tea Party movement as extremely “radical.” Why do you think his Town Hall meetings have no people “of color?” I would never go – I am afraid a Tea Partier would shoot and kill me for my differing opinions. I think The Tea Party is eventually going to shoot itself in the foot – Just like Sarah Palin did to herself in recent days. He doesn’t impress me one bit — way too extreme for Main Street!

  5. I agree. This obsession with “Obamacare” is enough. Move on.

  6. You may want to know says …..2 trillion dollar cost looking ahead……..That is just a plan old fear tactic being used with no factual data to back it…..and just plain old disinformation.
