Marathon Pundit Pins Public Sector Union Tail on Pat Quinn — 4 Comments

  1. I’ve called it that since the election. I would like to see any corporation and union payoffs…I mean donations become illegal. All donations should come from the individual taxpayer/voter and not a group.

  2. If the Koch brothers and corporations can donate to campaigns, why not unions?

  3. Gosh, another case of “selective outrage” concerning campaign donations, right, “Not A Grafton Resident?”

    George Soros (who as a youth was a Nazi collaborator in WWII – by his own admission) have given $5 BILLION to the left sincde 1979, including millions to the Democratic Party. He makes the Koch family look like pikers. So where’s your outrage about Soros, “Not A Grafton Resident?”

    According to the Federal Election Commission, UNIONS gave twice the amount to Democrats than all the “corporate” PAC donors did to the Republicans, combined, in 2010. In fact, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) gave $87.5 million to Democrats, making them the single *LARGEST* donor in the 2010 election.

    So maybe the question for partisan Democrats (with their selective outrage) ought to be: If you are so “concerned” about corporate and the Koch brothers giving money to the Republicans, why AREN’T you concerned about UNION money and Nazi collaborator GEORGE SOROS giving money to Democrats?

    Oh, wait. Let me guess. You’re a partisan Democrat hypocrite, aren’t you Not A Grafton Resident?”

  4. Note the number of SEIU units giving money to Quinn.

    SEIU, which has a reputation for violent behavior (deserved, in my opinion) is being sued under the RICO statute by Sodexo USA. The specifics of the case against SEIU is:

    “The complaint alleges acts of SEIU blackmail, vandalism, trespass, harassment, and lobbying law violations designed to steer business away from Sodexo USA and harm the company.”

    “The complaint alleges that the SEIU, in face to face meetings, threatened Sodexo USA’s executives that it would harm Sodexo USA’s business unless they gave in to the union, and then carried out its threats through egregious behavior, including:

    * throwing plastic roaches onto food being served by Sodexo USA at a high profile event;
    * scaring hospital patients by insinuating that Sodexo USA food contained bugs, rat droppings, mold and flies;
    * lying to interfere with Sodexo USA business and sneaking into elementary schools to avoid security;
    * violating lobbying laws to steer business away from Sodexo USA, even at the risk of costing Sodexo USA employees their jobs; and”
    * harassing Sodexo USA employees by threatening to accuse them of wrongdoing.”

    SEIU’s PR response to the suit is to poo-poo the complaint using good old Saul Alinsky tactics of demonizing the opposition, and is NOT a defense of their behavior. Which means they cannot defend it.

    SEIU operatives beat up a black street vendor (Ken Gladney) selling “Gadsen Flags” in St. Louis during a Tea Party rally, putting him in the hospital, earning SEIU the deserved moniker of “Purple People Beaters.”

    If Quinn accepts any more money from SEIU, he is corrupt. He should be recalled.
