Jack Franks Last Minute Co-Sponsor of Concealed Carry

Here is the last part of the legislative history House Bill 148, popularly labeled “concealed carry.”

The same day as the so-called "conceal carry" bill was voted upon, McHenry County Demcorat State Rep. Jack Franks decided not only to vote for the bill, but to become a co-sponsor.

State Rep. Jack Franks (D-Marengo) was a last minute convert.

He did not sign up until right before the vote.

On his blog Woodstock Advocate, Gus Philpott posts a copy of letter that Franks sent to constituents who urged him to vote for the bill.
