Crystal Lake Fireworks

A serene sunset preceded the fireworks on Crystal Lake.

It’s the 4th of July, Independence Day, but if you are expecting Crystal Lake to have fireworks tonight, you must have been gone last night.

The light was so intense from this series of fireworks that my lens caught a reflection on Crystal Lake.

At least a half an hour of fireworks were shot off from a barge in the northeast part of Crystal Lake Sunday night.

This one reminded me of a cush ball.

The weather was quite pleasant, although the mosquitoes were a bit annoying.

This series of fireworks reminded me of a palm tree.

One misfired and detonated much too low. Don’t if any of the boats anchored closest to the action got a surprise they didn’t expect. Hope not.

This shot caught two shells bursting. The one on top reminds me to a warp speed sequence from Star Wars.

We stayed moored at our CCAPOA Gate 7 slip on the South Side of Crystal Lake.

Blue is the color I see best, so this one appealed to me.

Easy in and easy out.

This one reminds me of a dalia.

It was a very satisfying day.

This shell or series of shells looks like a windmill.

Marvelous parade.

Would crystals in a dish look like this under a microscope?

Fireworks better than in Chicago.
