A press release from Congressman Joe Walsh:
Rep. Walsh Issues Statement on 9/11 Anniversary
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Joe Walsh, member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, issued a statement honoring the anniversary of September 11, 2001. He is attending memorial services this weekend in Illinois’ 8th Congressional District.
“We must always remember and never forget what happened on September 11, 2001.
“As we stand together as one nation this weekend to honor the memories of the dead, let us also pay tribute to the sacrifices of all those brave men and women since who have fought and died to keep America safe.”
“We are and will remain that shining city on the hill, a beacon of freedom to all those who still live in tyranny and darkness.
“And to the brave Americans who, in that fight for freedom, gave the last full measure of devotion, we say, ‘we will never forget you.’”
