Kent Gaffney Knocking on Doors

Kent Gaffney at the Lake in the Hills Parade.

The only way to find out what a candidate is doing is to observe them in action.

I try to do that for contested races, publishing mailings, press releases, photos, etc.

But input from readers really helps.

For example, without the following comment from “Algonquin Conservative” we wouldn’t know that appointed State Rep. Kent Gaffney is knocking on doors, presumably in Algonquin east of Hansen Road, which is his district’s western boundary:

‘Well my first impression of Gaffney is when he knocked on my door to introduce himself as my new State Representative.

“He showed impressive knowledge of the State budget and was the first politician to ever knock on my door.

“If you are truly upset over someone not marching in a parade a week after they were appointed to a particular position I am fearful of how you would react during real troubling times.”

  1. That’s assuming that commenter was telling the truth, and the lack of collaborative evidence from my friends in the district make it suspect.

    Just my 2 cents.

  2. Gaffney hasn’t knocked on my door yet, but I have seen him all over the community and got to speak with him at the NRA dinner. Very knowledgeable man and proud to say I will be supporting him.

By the looks of all the negative comments about Rep. Gaffney and Ms. Rowe I question whether The Oncoming Storm and the rest are being paid for by McSweeney’s federal bailout money.
