McHenry County Board members have budgeted themselves $1,000 a year for miscellaneous expenses.
$24,000 in total.
The Fiscal Year runs from December through November, so FY11 is almost over.
Maybe because all of the Board members are up for election, most have turned in no receipts.

Is it true that there is a line item in the County Board budget for (taxpayer funded) memberships and/or subscriptions to health clubs, etc. for County Board Members and County officials? Also, do we know WHO is using these/memberships?
Are there other percs out there the public doesn’t know about? Every County Board member should be familiar with the budget they’re passing and be able to defend their spending. I look forward to their response.
