Only Romney Delegates File in Illinois

I kept clicking on various congressional district Presidential Delegate listings and could find none for any candidate but Mitt Romney.

Could it be that the other candidates have so little infrastructure or started so late that they haven’t gotten enough signatures to file on the first day?

Whatever the reason, the State Board of Elections has verified that only Romney has filed petitions.

Running a second time has its advantages.

State Treasurer Dan Rutherford is heading up Romney’s Illinois campaign.

  1. Romney will do a great job. But if it’s close and he needs Illinois in the primaries, Dan the Buffoon Rutherford running his campaign, all may be lost. What a clown Rutherford is.

  2. Rather than being the flavor of the day, Romney will be the flavor of RecoveryUSA.

    Unlike the others:

He was elected and re-elected in a very tough state.
He turned businesses and government around — an Olympics too to boot.
    He never defended earmarks.
    He never endorsed Dede Scozzafava.
He never trashed Paul Ryan’s plan.
He never endorsed Arlen Specter over Pat Toomey; giving Obama the 60 votes he needed for Obamacare.
He never made a climate change ad with Pelosi.
He never opened the door to illegal alien amnesty.
He never voted to create the Dept of Education.
He never took $1.6 million from Fannie & Freddie.
    He never was a Democrat.
    He never worked for Obama.
He is still married to is one-and-only wife.
He never had an extra-marital affair.

  3. BTDT- Seriously, your brand of politics is tired and dogeared, made up of half truths stretched and garnished to meet the image of your candidate which is inevitably manufactured.

Your list exposes it’s flaws with your very first claim- which is incorrect.

I’m supporting Gingrich, not because I think that he can win, but because I think that he can win and actually has the stones to do what needs to be done to help the country turn around.

He is a flawed man without question and has made questionable decisions in the past, both personally and politically, but we are not choosing the Pope; we are trying to hire someone that is willing and able to do the job that needs to be done. (I’m not accepting your accusations above- they are as I said half truths and incomplete thoughts)

I welcome your response but only if you are willing to answer with your real name. And you check your facts.

  4. Mike:

Which of those things do you dispute?

We can take the references to marriage aside and what do you dispute?

Gingrich and company are way too thin-skinned. He took over the speakership, deserved it, and drove the Republican majority off a cliff, incited an internal insurgency and lost control over the House.

He gave us Denny Hastert as speaker. Bill Clinton pantsed him time and again.

What evidence is there that Speaker Newt can successfully govern?

Nope, BeenThereDoneThat is right on, although I had long before found the candidate I would most willingly support
