Hultgren Weighs In Against Debt Ceiling Hike

A press release from Congressman Randy Hultgren:

Hultgren Statement On President Obama’s Request For Debt Ceiling Increase

Randy Hultgren

Geneva, IL – U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren (IL-14) today released the following statement after President Obama officially requested a $1.2 trillion increase to the United States’ debt limit.

“The President has come to Congress once again asking us to raise the nation’s debt ceiling, his Administration’s reckless spending having made that necessary,” said Hultgren.

“If we’ve learned anything by watching the state of Illinois, it’s that you cannot spend, borrow and tax yourself out of a huge budget deficit. I hope that the House will consider this request when we return to Washington next week, and reject it; doing so will send a clear message that we do not condone the President’s wasteful fiscal policies of so-called ‘stimulus’, bailouts, and ever-larger government.”

  1. I strongly support your stance on rejecting Obama’s request for the increase in the debt ceiling.

Please continue to oppose this and Obama’s other big government agendas, and know that you are backed by this constituent!

Thank you for your hard work,

    Jennifer Moore

  2. Congressman Hultgren,

Did you or did you not vote for the NDAA?

This gives the reprobate Obama AKA (Barry Soratora) sic, with
no past available to find out who he really is Dictatorial powers!

    That is INSANE!

Your answer will decide my vote for you.

    Sincerely,

  3. Please hold your ground!

I am scared for the country if you and the House agree to this insane request.

We can’t stop what has been done in the past, but we can stop digging a deeper hole.
