Google Gets Its Lobbying Mailing List

As with many others, I joined Google’s email list when internet firms were fighting the effort which Hollywood lobbyists called “stopping piracy.”

Ironically, the Feds used current copyright laws to crack down on one of the film makers’ biggest targets within 24 hours of the protest.

Today, I received the following email from Google indicating that its lobbying arm is prepared to repeat the effort when the idea pops up again:
