The political side of Congressman Joe Walsh’s operation announces a Town Hall Meeting in Elgin on Saturday afternoon. Here’s the message:
In the wake of
- President Obama’s decision to reject the Keystone Pipeline (and tens of thousands of jobs along with it),
- the Administration’s new regulations forcing religious institutions to provide insurance benefits that conflict with their moral teachings and
- the testimony of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernake to Congress that current spending levels are “clearly unsustainable,”
I will be hosting a Town Hall meeting tomorrow to listen to your thoughts.
While I am very outspoken, I believe the most important part of my job is knowing what people here think. I hope you will join me for a frank and candid discussion about the issues facing our great nation.
Town Hall Meeting
Saturday, February 4th
