Now we have the second countywide official endorsing a person running for the McHenry County Board.

Sheriff Keith Nygren endorsed Linda Kvidera Murphy in District 4.

But he didn’t spend any money. He just lent his name.

In District 3, however, McHenry County State’s Attorney Lou Bianchi sent out a mailing endorsing Mary Alger.

[A close reader of the Alger mailing notes that the piece was paid for by the Alger campaign, rather than Bianchi. I misuderstood my source and obviously did not look at the mailer closely enough.]

The back emphasizes that Mary Alger is a fiscal and social conservative.
