Donald R. Jones

Louis A. Bianchi, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Donald R. Jones, 54, formerly of Lake in the Hills was sentenced today to 7½ years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the class 1 felony offense of Juvenile Pimping pursuant to a negotiated plea.

The co-defendants, Kari Knox and Antwanette Atkins, were each found guilty of Involuntary Servitude of a Minor following a jury trial in August 2011.

The evidence at trial of the co-defendants revealed that on December 31, 2009, Kari Knox and Antwanette Atkins actively participated in arranging for a 14 year old girl from Kansas to engage in prostitution and the proceeds were given to Donald R. Jones who had transported the minor victim to Illinois.

Both Knox and Atkins were each sentenced to 7 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

This case was investigated by the Lake in the Hills Police Department and was prosecuted by Sharyl Eisenstein of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
