Dee Beaubien Set to Announce State Rep. Candidacy Monday

Dave McSweeney

Dee Beaubien

One of my sources had informed me that Dee Beaubien will announce her candidacy for State Representative in the new version of her late husband’s 52nd District on Monday.

Hope she sends McHenry County Blog the press release so I can share it with you.

She is running against Dave McSweeney, who won the Republican primary election over her favorite, her husband’s budget guy, Kent Gaffney, whom she did not support in the ballot box.

Had she done so, she would have been ineligible to run in the fall’s General Election.

  1. Bill LeFew, Keith Nygren, Geri Davis, and Pam Althoff should award her another Republican Lincoln Day award for her loyalty to the Party !!!!

  2. Agree with skeptic; these antics are what keep Obama and Co. in charge. After this back room manuevering, who’d ever trust Dee Beaubien to represent them?

  3. Dee Beaubien is most interested in two things.

One is unfettered abortion rights, including having taxpayer funding for abortion.

Second is legalizing gay marriage and equating homosexual conduct to unchangeable human attributes like disability and race in terms of special government recognition.

All the money in the world is not going to get her elected with the values she promotes.

  4. As to “skeptic’s” comment of 4/20, next time, a little fact checking please.

First I was not at the dinner where Dee got this award.

Next I have not been a committeeman nor have I been Chairman of the Republican party for 3 terms, but I remain a lifetime Republican.

Finally, and most importantly I supported David McSweeney in the primary and will continue to do so. Check his campaign literature.

You will see my name proudly listed as a supported of Dave.

He stands firmly for a strong national defense. lower taxes, and a smaller government.

These and many more reasons make it easy for me to support him.

  5. LOL- I heard that a strong national defense was a big issue in Springfield.
