Grafton Township Trustee Rob LaPorta among Applicants for McHenry County Conservation District Slot

The Natural and Environmental Resources Committee will interview four of five applicants for McHenry County Conservation District Trustee next Wednesday, July 23rd.

The applicants are listed below:

  • Brandon Thomas
  • Robert LaPorta
  • James Albright
  • Phil Stanko
  • Julie Zamudio (unable to attend meeting)

Members of the interviewing committee are

  • Mary McCann, Chairman
  • Pete Merkel
  • Kathy Schmidt
  • Donna Kurtz
  • Virginia Peschke
  • Mark Munaretto
  • Bob Nowak

  1. This guy should not be put in any public position, what he and his cohorts have done to Grafton Township borders on criminal, shows no respect for the public trust. His record speaks for itself.

  2. Is this Mr. Munaretto the same person who received a considerable fee when Grafton was looking for someone to buy property/building/? – or is it a different Mr. Munaretto?

    If it is the same person, would it be a conflict of interest for him to vote for Mr. LaPorta?

    Is this a paid position?

    Can he take this position and also still be a Grafton Twp. trustee or is it one of those “No. You can’t do that?”

  3. Anybody from the current Grafton Township board should NEVER hold another public office again.

    These people are ALL morons (that is the nicest word I could use to describe them) that could care less about wasting tax dollars!
