Republican State Rep. candidate Dave McSweeney works a table at McHenry County Board Chairman Ken Koehler’s fund raiser at Lakeside Center.
The biggest is from McHenry County Board Chairman Ken Koehler himself.
On April 23rd, he loaned his campaign fund $3,000.
On May 29th, the campaign fund received $1,000 from Mathewson Right of Way Company.
June 4th saw the receipt of another $1,000 from Wheatland Title Guaranty Company.

Looks like Mathewson has performed work for the county as a consultant- no reason why they shouldn’t share taxpayer funds with the Board chair đŸ˜‰

One might also want to check who else in the county gets money from Mathewson. Hint: Mathewson does work for MCDOT.

Mark Mathewson has been the exclusive Right of Way negotiator for the McHenry County Division of Transportation for thirty years.
In 2010 he was paid over $400,000 for his services in our County.
The service he provides is not put up for bids by others.
I would say that a $1000 donation to the County Board president and a $500 donation to the Chairwoman of the Transportation Committee is a pretty good deal for Mathewson.
Not such a good deal for the County residents.
Ken K. is all about himself and lining his family’s pocket on our dollars.
