Backers Planning Northwest Herald Ad in Behalf of McHenry Mayor Sue Low’s Re-Election Campaign

Sue Low

Municipal, school board, fire protection district, library district, township, park board, you name it, elections are not until next spring, but those seeking election or re-election are already preparing.

Former McHenry Mayor Steve Cuda is rumored to be considering challenging incumbent Sue Low.

Cuda was Mayor of McHenry before Pam Althoff and Low.

Last week I was informed that requests are being made of McHenry residents to sign “a big ad” in her support that will be placed in the Northwest Herald.

The person who tipped me off wrote,

“Sue was very active as a Member of Citizens for Fiscal Responsibility that backed 3 candidates for the District 156 High School Board, all of whom won by an overwhelming margin, in the April 5, 2011 school board elections.

“The group vehemently opposed the proposed $8 million bond referendum and urged that all employees of the district make significant monetary concessions.”
