Cary Follows Lakewood’s Example by Outsourcing Finance Function

Crystal Lake-Cary Patch reporter Tim Kane reports that the Village of Cary has decided to allow its auditing firm to manage the books for the final nine months of this fiscal year.

And, lest one worry, the firm, which has audited the village books for 13 years (!) will not audit its own books. A new CPA firm will be engaged as outside auditor.

When Lakewood’s Finance Director Carole Robertson went onto greener pastures, CPA George Roach was hired to fulfill the function.
