Dan Duffy Rolls Out Walk Piece

State Senator Dan Duffy has printed his summer walk piece.

He and volunteers are using it to introduce the incumbent to new territory and to reinforce name identification in his current district.

This is the side of Dan Duffy’s new literature that shows his photo and title.

The back of the card details his personal life, education, Senate committee, business experience and principles.  It also solicits volunteer and yard sign locations, asking people call 847-381-8082.

Dan Duffy Rolls Out Walk Piece — 10 Comments

  1. I like Dan Duffy.

However, this piece is a joke. “The courage to change Springfield.”

    So why hasn’t he?

  2. I’ve noticed he doesn’t list his courageous support for:

Pension sweeteners, +55% accelerated property tax billing, repealing the death penalty, overriding the Governor’s veto of pay raises and COLA increases, Mayor Daley’s 2016 Olympics fiasco, lawsuit loan sharks, extending MAP grants with $205M the state does not have, ‘Smart Grid’, the Illinois Dream Act, and allowing school districts to levy a sales tax.

  3. BeenThereDoneThat is wrong in at least one of the bills that he writes that Dan Duffy supporter–the Com Ed rate increase bill, which Com Ed called “Smart Grid.”

Duffy voted against the bill. See http://mchenrycountyblog.com/2011/10/27/state-senator-dan-duffy-expresses-outrage-at-electric-rate-hike-bill/

Jack Franks and Mike Tryon voted for it, as did Pam Althoff.

  4. I stand corrected.

Duffy did vote yes on SB 1652, but that was before the original bill was amended to ‘Smart Grid.’

On that partricular bills final vote Althoff, Brady, Dillard, Millner, Murphy, Pankau, Radogno and Righter all voted YES.

    As corrected, Duffy voted No.

  5. Don’t understand the hate the posters have for Duffy and the free passes given to Althoff and Tryon.

  6. I like Dan Duffy. I will walk for him all over his district.

What really gets me on this blog – and there is only one thing – are the anonymous flame throwers who lack the spine to sign their names to comments.

At least have the fortitude to put your name out there.

    Respectfully,
    Andrew Gasser

  7. Chill out, Andrew, and get off the high horse.

As stated, I like Dan Duffy, and I will proudly vote for him this fall. He’s a good man. No question.

But don’t be such a lemming, Andrew.

“The Courage to Change Springfield” is the statement in question in Dan’s own campaign literature.

One does not have to be “spineless” to legitimately critisize that heading of a campaign piece and do so anonymously.

Chill out, Andrew. More legitimate political discourse takes place on this site than in all the Chicagoland papers.

  8. It looks like the Dem hacks are distorting the facts AGAIN!

NOTHING can be considered in Springfield with Madigan at the helm.

Also, let’s not forget that Cullerton and Madigan are attached at the hip so if they don’t want it, it won’t make it out of committee or if it does, it will never make it to the floor.

Those are the Dem rules for squashing any opposing ideas or thoughts.

As Madigan has said, if you don’t like the rules, get more votes.

Elections are coming up and the people of Illinois have a chance to vote Madigan and Cullerton out by electing Republicans.

THAT is the only way for Illinois to change from the laughing stock of the world.

The speaker is the FIRST vote when a new session begins.

The Dems have been in control for years and it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to see the results.

Their philosophic approach is now on display at a national level too.

    Get ’em OUT!!!

    Vote Republican in November!
