Pro-Choice Retired GOP Women State Reps. Write Letter for Dee Beaubien

Here’s the letter that arrived at some Republican households today on Dee Beaubien’s behalf.

Except for one who is not running for re-election, it’s signed by former Republican legislators–all women, all Pro-Choice:

  • Corrine Wood
  • Rosemary Mulligan
  • Suzanne Bassi
  • Elizabeth Coulson
  • Gwen Klingler
  • Carolyn Krause
  • Rosemary Kurtz
  • Patricia Lindner

Beaubien, of course, is running as a Mike Madigan-supported Independent for State Representative against Republican David McSweeney.

in very small print at the bottom of the letter, which is not reproduced above, is the information that it is “Paid for by Citizens for Dee Beaubien.”

  1. It really is a shame that there are so few pro-choice GOP women left. The Part misses them.

  2. They all say they are against property taxes increasing while values are declining
but Mark Beaubien and Mulligan voted “YES” for +55% ccelerated property tax billing on first installments; and Mulligan, the only one then still in office, voted “NO” to Jack Franks bill amendment halting property tax assessment increases when valuations drop; and Bassi, Coulson, Krause, Lindner, and Mulligan voted “YES” to the outrageous Mike Madigan sponsored ‘Gail Purkey’ pension.

Mark Beaubien took a powder on it and did not vote, the others were out of office by then.

  3. This shows you how liberal Republicans have absolutely no commitment to the Republican Party.

Mark Beaubien was the same. They are part of the Republican Party, not because of priciple, but because of their own personal political interests.

Once these people show their colors, the reveal their true identity. Rosemary Kurtz, Corrine Wood, Mulligan, Coulson, etc are LIBERAL DEMOCRATS in Republican areas.

The failure of the Republican Party is that they “accept” them with the ruse of the “big tent” metaphor.

This practice cripples the effectiveness of the Party as a successful political entity.

Remember how Beaubien got the “Republican Loyalty Award” at the Lincoln Day Dinner in February!!!

  4. RINO County smells worse each election.

How do these people keep a straight face?
