Below you see the second mailing from the Democratic Party of Illinois (look at the return address) preparing the way for the really atrocious mailings from the pro-abortion Personal PAC that are in the pipeline.
This is the second hit on Dave McSweeney by Mike Madigan for being Pro-Life.
In concert, the McHenry County League of Women Voters allowed a question Friday night that played right into the Democrats’ campaign theme.
Dee Beaubien
The question wasn’t a straight up and down one about abortion, but something like “Are politicians qualified to make medical decisions for women?”
“Absolutely not,” stated Dee Beaubien, who got to answer first.
Dan Duffy
“I don’t think government belongs in any kind of medical choice.”
Next up was State Senator Dan Duffy.
“That’s obviously a very biased, Pro-Choice question,” he exclaimed to the Pro-Choice audience.
“That’s a very leading question.”
That’s all I got, but he explained he was Pro-Life after complaining about the question.
“That’s not the government’s affair,” Duffy opponent Amanda Howland commented.
“One issue that will come up in Springfield is using taxpayer money to fund late term abortions.
“I oppose that,” McSweeney said.

Again the Democratic Party graphics folks deliver on at attractive summary of the message they wish to get across.

McSweeney had the opportunity to inoculate himself on the abortion issue, but did not take the initiative.
He could have compared his stand on specific aspects of the abortion issue with those of his opponent, who favors no limitations on abortion up to the day before of birth.
He laid out one specific in the debate.
I guess he could still put out a mailing, but its effect will now be diminished because he allowed Beaubien to fire the first shots via the Democratic Party.
Tiring old worn-out mantra… Personal PAC same old, same old.
Not the first, second or third … even fourth issue on peoples minds.
This is WHY Dee Beaubien is running for office.
I hope the Pastor of St. Anne’s Parish in Barrington gets a copy of this mailer.
So all four candidates are pro choice. That has to sting.
Further McS in the only person other than Cal who ties the question to abortion.

Knock off the abortion nonsense! These candidates have nothing to offer that issue. The real issue is MADIGAN and his out of control spending and addiction to corruption. Beaubien’s late husband must be rolling in his grave.

Pro Life v Pro Choice sounds so verbally okay to some people.
Pro Life v Pro Death just tells the truth.
Let us leave the 60s and take responsibility for now knowing that what is growing inside is life from day one.
Some of these women are getting downright uppish & need to remember their place. Killing innocent human life is not a choice between a woman & her doctor. Period.
So Dee Beaubien gets ATTACKED here for actually drawing the distinction between her position and her opponents– while McSweeney is running ads that are based around a flat-out lie: that Beaubien said the Illinois Income tax is “fair.”
McSweeney is unfit for public office- I wouldn’t buy a used car from someone who lies so blatantly much less hire him to represent us in the senate.

The Tribune article cited on McSweeney’s literature did not contain that word; in fact, Beaubien said she did not agree with the tax increase and would have voted against it and would vote to repeal it.
I’ve called Mcsweeney’s campaign off to ask them to tell me where and when Beaubien said the tax increase was fair- no response.
I have posted here a few times asking his supporters to do so also.

On the other hand, McSweeney lied over and over again about Gaffney, and is now doing the same thing with Dee, which is why they refuse to actually give the quote where Dee allegedly said the income tax increase was “fair.”
